South Pasadena's exquisite collection of vintage automobiles made the Fourth of July Festival of Balloons parade a thrill on wheels. These three antique beauties were just the beginning. Want to see more? Cruise on over to my overflow blog for enough sweet rides to drive car aficionados right into shock. (Don't say I didn't warn you...)

You must have been in heaven! :)
HEE HEE - I hear the Keystone Cops type music playing in the background. Those are so great. I love the red theme going on in that shot. As always, your take on vintage cars is awesome.
WV: glyinant (there ain't no way to hide your glyinant )
This is charming. I am definitely going to have to catch this next year.
This is proof that South Pasadena is vintage car heaven. Great choice of music on the overflow photo blog.
To hell with the vintage cars (and I can say that considering I grew up with the horseless carriage crowd; dad restored a 1908 Buick)....for me the Abe bus steals the show. A beard made from black balloons GENIUS
It's one of the things I missed about America: The festive and patriotic mood of the 4th of July.
Those old vintage cars are awsome!
Happy 4th of July, Laurie!
These look as well loved as can be--like horses, with their decorations.
wv:alifts. Even the wv is optimistic today.
more of that beautiful California sun
Oh how cute is that!!! How fabulous for the Fourth of July Parade ( or Peerade as we call it!HA) PERFECT.

Awesome slide show on your overflow blog. Simply awesome.
Copyscape is awesome!!! Thanks Laurie
Maybe I'm a little more jaded than I realize but the entire mood of this photo is of a time that I would have thought had completely disappeared by now.
These are greats pics.
Also, LA thanks for putting your old investigative skills back in use!
Creative/Artistic types mixed in with college grads. Interesting... Now I think we're getting down to the root of the problems in de AltaDena.
Hey kids,
Thanks for checking out my old car extravaganza. Honestly, I think I went into overload after editing 37 different pictures of cars for the slide show over on my overflow blog. Hilda, you are right, I was in heaven ... until I felt like I might have a seizure! It really was fun to see all of them cruising down Mission.
Altadenahiker, come hang out with us next year!
Eki, I had hoped you'd stop by to see these cars!
PA, I loved the bus, too. It looked so hilarious in person -- and filled with giggling, waving, shouting preschoolers. Too cute.
Kevin, it's pretty cool, huh?
Cafe, happy to be of service!
Thanks, everyone, for such nice comments and kind words. Til tomorrow...
