South Pas Up Close #6
After so many days wrapped in the gray shroud of June, July has resurrected the summer with heat and light. Everywhere, new leaves and long grasses stretch out and bask. Even my otherwise stalwart sago palm got caught up in the season and presented a bouquet of new fronds. They looked so photogenic curling toward the afternoon sun.

I honestly thought this was glass in the thumbnail. Really sharp shooting. Delicious colour and the curls totally mesmerising.
Just don't ever try to transplant a saga palm. I had one moved in the front yard and it just laid down and died.
This is a lovely study in crisp green. Almost looks edible.
OOH you know how much I love macros. I love how their tendrils curl up in their verdant splendor toward the sun!! Happy Summer. I'm pretty ready for fall here. 105 is NOT fun.
Super shot! Just love the vibrancy of it.
I want this hanging on my wall!
A gorgeous shot, Laurie... Green and Summer have never looked so good!
It would never occur to me that something like this would make such an elegant picture.
I love it.
Love this close-up, especially enlarged to see the bits on the curly parts.
excellent surreal close up!
Ohhh. Awww. I always like these close ups you do.
Love this shot Laurie!!!
A wonderful photo. So full of life and potential!
Like Plato said: “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, yes beauty and what a heart...
I miss my home town and I can understand the love you have for Pasadena.
Always beautiful to see so much love in one person.
Perfect.

Welcome, Shadow! (And thanks!)
I just love macro shots, so thanks for all the kind words about this one.
Til tomorrow!
Looks like Mother Nature got a pair of scissors and curled the new fronds of your sago palm!
