Isn't this one of the more cinematic homes you've ever seen? It is? Well then, amuse me with your plot lines, people. I know I've asked this many times before ... but if this were the setting of a scene in a film, what do think would happen here?

This is a set for the opening scene of a remake of the classic 1968 Peter Sellers film, "The Party." Peter Sellers played Hrundi Bakshi, an extra on a "Ghunga Din" type epic who accidently sat on plunger for the explosives causing the set to blow up prematurely. I was recently asked for my 5 favorite comedies of all time, and The Party was on the list - Birdie num-num anyone?
So, for those of you that have seen The Party, who would play Hrundi Bakshi today? Since Steve Martin played Inspector Closeau, he's the logical choice. Who else could play the role?
After a through seach, the house is blown up by the British authorities who rule over this part of the world.
A thorough search...
That's such a charming house!
A new development? So much bare concrete still.
I picture a "film noir". Maybe with Johnny Depp as the police detective trying to solve the murder of a local starlet. All in black and white, of course.
mad love on a stone cold floor.....wine spilled....secrets whispered....then take out from Dennys
A camel runs in from stage left. Stops in the middle and looks around. His eyes get big and he does a porky pig slippery feet exit stage right. Fade to ?
Did the camel run into Ken Mac, pre-take out?
I see Rudy Vallee and Claudette Colbert...camels, slaves, feather fans...Rudy is leaving and Claudette is begging him to stay...
He is off to battle...and she has to stay behind...
"But why do you have to go???",
"Ah...but I have to...after all...Carlos is rebelling down the road and planting hydrangeas instead of the natural grasses and succulents...what could be more egregious than that!!!!"
"But if you leave now...you'll miss the party!!! Hrundi Bakshi will be expecting us...he needs us to be there in case Inspector Clouseau shows up..."
No wayt that's a new house, Hilda. The raised foundation, old driveway, window treatments, etc show this to be a major renovation of a 1920's house. Very unique architechture - sort of a Spanish/Mediterranean/Moroccan look.
KB - The camel was on the stone cold floor with Ken Mac. He misunderstood. We just use the camel to ride into town.
WV: Dizat's all folks!
Altadenahiker,
I believe it was apple pie.
Okay, you guys are seriously deranged and I LLLLLOOOOOOOVZE it!
I don't know who wins today, gang. These are all great. Thanks for playing! My frustrated inner director is always pleased with this game!
Until tomorrow...
