You could feel the hope and determination at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center yesterday as dozens of San Gabriel Valley kids practiced their strokes and imagined their own gold medals.

Here's to all the future champions.

Judy beat me to it: I was thinking your family must really love to watch the swimming and diving competitions!

Wonderful shot! I love swimming, too.

I swam 7 laps this morning, followed with a steam bath, and I feel great! I first learned to swim at the age of 8, and I'm still learning and practicing in my older years! The Olympic swimming competition is sooo exciting.

I went to a friend's daughter's swim class today. One whiff of the over chlorinated water and I felt right at home. :)

A little known fact...I used to teach babies how to swim when I was in college...we taught water safety...they learned to hold their breath and kick their way to safety...nothing quite like spending all day in a pool with lot's and lot's of diaper clad babies!!!

Learned something new about you, Chieftess!

Thanks, everyone.
