The tile store is located at 1946 E. Street.

Established (in) 1946 C.E.

(C.E. anyone? Mr. E. would know.)

was thinking this was Halvorson's...but I think that was '43.

but my guess: Estimated occupancy 1946, Current Estimate by SFFD.

Other than a couple of rooms at the schools, perhaps Von's/Pavilions/OSH, not sure many other buildings in SPas qualify to hold that many people at one time.

Laurie, you're making it hard on yourself by finding things you need help with.

Hey, I was established in 1946!

"C.E." = Christian Era, a way that Jews (and maybe others) designate years after Jesus. Christian designation: BC = Before Christ AD = Anno Domini (i.e. after Christ). Non-Christian designation: BCE = Before Christian Era CE = Christian Era.

Trish: There's no animal known as "estimated occupancy." The FD designates "maximum occupancy." No estimating about that!

I just remembered I forgot my coffee...no wonder this doesn't make any sense...

Elaboration: CE and BCE are often said to mean Common Era, Current Era, or Christian Era.

I was going to say Mr Earl...current verbiage is Common Era, Before Common Era.

My next guess---the tiles at the Y pool, estimating how many laps...does the ticker jump up after each lap?
