Into Infinity

I've stopped trying to figure out how many gorgeous, tree-lined pathways there are in South Pas. Not an infinite number, but too many to count.

I love it when they reach up and over the path. This is another image that sends me to another time. I like that.

Don't know how many tree-line paths there are in South Pasadena, but I know there are about 1,750 voters who spoke their minds yesterday and said, "No more back-room deals. No more arrogance from the City Council. Yes more honesty. Yes more genuine people who just want to serve."

South Pasadena rocks!

Trees are pretty straight-forward.

There is a kind of tree count in Pasadena but how accurate can it be? I planted an apple tree in my back yard a couple of weeks ago and until now, I haven't gone public.

Congratulations, South Pas.

It's a new day in South Pas. Two bad council members out, two to go!

Love this photo Laurie. I miss your Patch column. Will you be returning soon?

I miss your column, too.

Laurie, is this up near Buena Vista? The B&W sometimes throws me for a loop on location.

Wherever, it is delightful and if I haven't thanked you recently, THANK YOU for bringing bits of the place I grew up, back to me in beautiful splendor.

Am glad the election went as it should. Sad to see "my" small town go to the highest bidder, or kick out good folk like the Chief, and am glad it looks like things are turning around. Woot!

Love these trees. They are absolutely one of South Pasadena's treasures.

beautiful!

i'm fairly certain this is Marengo Ave? i see a bike lane, which is a giveaway (for now at least, before more of the bike plan gets implemented across the city).

Oh yes, I see that Alex is right. I have ridden here before. Great shot.

My aunt used to call SoPas 'the edge of the forest' because all the cities south of SoPas don't have the big old trees.

Thanks, everyone. I'm just taking a short breather from my Patch column while I pour through my Rialto video interviews and research some future columns. I plan on more video, and some in-depth looks at South Pas history. Who do I think I am, Ken Burns? :-)

Thanks so much for the readership and support.
