Settings: Part 37

It's time to put on your director's caps, people. Tell me: if this were the setting for a scene in a movie, what would happen here?

There are chickens in that barn. They want to get out. This is their story.

The family thought the boy was sick, possessed even, so they made him spend all of his time locked in the shed away from the main house. He secretly loosened one of the planks and every morning walked to the library and picked up books. That's all he's done for years, read and learn. Tomorrow at first light he will run away forever. He is as educated as they come but has little social skills. He will work in a bar at first and be treated as somewhat of a carnival freak; Ask the boy anything, he knows the answer they will say. But eventually he will learn how to interact with people. And then he will meet a girl who thinks him odd at first but recognizes a goodness in him that no one ever has before...

If this were a scene for a movie we could see it at the Rialto or The Raymond.

You kids today are so lazy. Why, back in my day, we had to do chores every morning. And it was uphill to the barn, let me tell you. Both ways!

I thought I was on facebook for a minute there and was looking for place to click for "like". I would have clicked it on all of the above.
