Or maybe it's just me...

How about shaggy-topped parfait glasses?

More mohawks gone awry. HA HA

That is crazy. I can see them, when no one is looking, starting to "shake their wigs" and dance about. That's just about the funniest bush/tree I've ever seen.

Awesome!
I haven't commented before, but I love your blog. The way you capture South Pasadena makes me seriously homesick for Los Angeles!

reminds me of my grandparents oleander trees...Mr Fukiyama was only so tall, as was his ladder and trimmer. he finally had to buy a longer ladder to trim the trees properly.

and...as long as you don't look too hard, the junipers look just fine...just furry on top.

Squint your eyes and they look like a line of green ice cream sodas. Where are the straws?

Green ice cream sodas. How fun is that?

I just figured it out. They are hula skirt trees!!!

Thanks so much, everyone.

And welcome, Pureklass!

These trees really do crack me up. Little Bit pointed them out and now whenever I see them I can imagine them saying "Dude!" to each other.

(Amazing what you notice trying to maneuver around the Fair Oaks construction...)
