Winter Tree/Spring Sky

I couldn't resist posting another from the incredible storm-related light show the other day. We might not have gotten all the freak snow everyone was predicting, but we got some gorgeous colored skies.

Oh good lord!! This is even better (well, maybe) than yesterday's. You need to have them both printed on canvas and hang them as a diptych. WOW is all I can say.

Oh, by the way. What kind of trees are those? I just love the graceful down turn of the branches/foliage.

Oh my! Such pretty Spring colors. I agree with Judy about printing on canvas.

Oh yeeeees, another glorious shot. Isn't it exciting when you see this light and then capture it? Bravo. The colours are stupendous. You've can see yesterday and today I'm running out of adjectives!

Exquisite is the perfect word for this photo, Anonymous is absolutely right. It would be perfect for today's annual report project - just gorgeous!

We were on the west side, then on the freeway and saw the colors only when we were back in Pasadena.
I'm glad you caught them.
Wow!

Thanks, you guys! I may have to post one more tomorrow -- just because it was such a rare few minutes of light and color and darkness.

Ben, I just pushed up color saturation by about 15%. I didn't change anything or add color. Isn't it grand?

Ah, but I may as well try and catch the wind!

You are so talented, it's disgusting. Great photographers aren't supposed to also be great writers. You are both. I read a bunch of your archives today. Write a novel!

Yes, it is a wonderful, beautiful image...of a tall, slender tree wearing a fabulous dress designed by Mother Nature. That's what I see besides the beautiful colors you captured. Thanks, Laurie!
