Winter is Coming

Yesterday's chilly weather and cloudy skies definitely made if feel more like the end of November...

There's always something sad and lonely about a pole, wires and a clouded sky. I'm sure if it were the 60's, the likes of Dylan or Lennon would have written a woeful tune about it. I'm a complete cloud nut. I can gaze at them forever. The ones in this image are painting worthy. :)

Enjoy the fall weather!!

Thanks for the shot, which got me to thinking that there's something about the old-technology telephone poles against sky/nature that ...

We woke up to over a foot of new snow in the Eastern Sierras. A bigger storm is expected tonight. It's a good day to stay home.

Beautiful L. I love light blue skies, even if it's just a hint.
Judy, I wish I could think of a Lennon or Dylan tune to go w/ this. Please help, only Gordon Lightfoot is coming thru.

This is an interesting shot, quite beautiful, showing the trasition from sunlight to dark and ominous rain clouds.

The shot feels/looks as if you were standing in the middle of the train tracks to get the perfect angle!

I noticed that Fall is here also! But we "don't have seasons" here so we both are probably mistaken.
