Abstract Pavement With Shadows and Leaves

In other words: an accidental shot that ended up looking fairly artistic!

I tried to write a clever poem but it's too early. :~(

I like abstractness when combined with nature.

Shadows. Autumn is the best time of the year for shadows. This is the third post in a row with exceptional shadows.

Inspires a little poem:

Taking pictures
of the shadows --
Emo teenager.

:O)

In other news, sometimes I want to jump into that white space between the shadows.

This gives new hope for all those shots I've taken of my shoes, the floor and table legs.

Like Oleg K, I, too, feel attracted to that white space between the shadows.

Reminds me of one of LA's poems:

Poetry
is
the
space
between
words.

Love the accidental twist to abstract!!! Great shadows... Remember the great line..."only the Shadow knows"...

Nice photo. Very graphic.

Judy: You really out-did yourself with your poems on my blog this week!!!

Looks like it comes from a movie filmed in England. Cold, lonely, complex, and foreboding. Blow-Up perhaps?

Howdy, gang!

Thanks for the nice words and cool reactions. (Oleg, your poem!) This blog is so much fun to produce. I can slack off and post mistakes and I still have some of the best commenters online! :-)

I do love the concept of lomography -- as I've mentioned several times before -- but this was pure and simple an oops. Reminds me of a website Elaine over at the old Willits Daily Photo mentioned once. It's dedicated to the shots you would normally erase, submitted by photographers all over the world. Some of them were amazing. If anyone knows/remembers the link, post it here!

In the meanwhile, I'll see you guys on tomorrow's post...
