Walk Softly, Stranger

Maneuvering the dark corridor from Rite Aid to the parking lot is normally an uneventful experience. But in late afternoon on a long summer day? It's a film noir moment.

Very clever & super cool shot! Nice lanky shadow too. (the ones I've tried come out more opulent about 1/2 way thru - go figure.)

YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS - VW - rearduca!!!

Is this Daddy Long Legs? Neat picture, Laurie.

WOW!!! So loving everything about this one. The intense contrast and of course the killer shadow. Certainly lends itself to a movie poster for "The Man Who Got Away" or something like that. And it goes without saying (those diagonal lines!)

Happy Saturday.

You're too much! Is it The Thin Man?

Just thought of one for yesterday: Not many people realize that The Irish Mickey Mouse was buried standing up.

I recognize that person anywhere - it's The Shadow!

However, I prefer the shadow in color.

Alfred Hitchcock is turning over in his grave!!! He desperately wants to come back to earth and make a movie with Laurie!!! Great shot!!!

It looks like he's holding an umbrella in his hand. With those legs this guy must be quite a basketball player.

Great photo.

Absolutely fabulous! And yes, this WOULD make a great movie poster.

Yes, it's true--Gort carried a purse, but only when he was shopping.

ever since they built this place that thruway has been blinding at certain times of the afternoon.

a skylight or two might be useful...but all these years later, I doubt it'll happen.

the pic is great--only the shadow knows!

Hanging about in dark corridors, LA, appears to be your metier.

This is a very fine image.

THanks, everybody! I just love the long shadows cast this time of year. You may be subjected to more of them before fall rolls around...

But not tomorrow. Until then!
