Happy Birthday, Glimpses of South Pasadena!

It's official ... Glimpses of South Pasadena turns one year old today. And like all toddlers, it's beginning to cut its teeth and learn to run! Thanks to all of you, my dear readers, this blog has gone from a mere concept to a full-fledged creation. What I thought would be an exercise in simply chronicling my new town has turned into something much more. I am so grateful to everyone who contributes to nurturing this little blog baby of ours -- from my beloved daily commenters who give each post terrific history, insight and wit to the many email supporters who provide me with inspiration and motivation.

Thanks, everyone. Now, let's head toward the terrible twos, shall we?

Nice - you could crop the top of the photo and use the words as a picture behind your blog title... May your 2nd year be even better than the first! ~ Eamon

Happy blog birthday, Laurie! Congratulations on getting over the first year hump — I know so many who didn't :(

But more than anything, thank you for sharing your South Pasadena with us and providing so many fun, thoughtful, and wonderful posts! I know your second year will be just as great, if not even better!

I didn't realize that your blog started around the same time as mine. I celebrated my one year anniversary two days ago. Congratulations! I look forward to the coming year of photos.

Happy B-Day, Glimpses of So Pasa!
Yup, give your blog time to mature, like all toddlers, and learn to run. And, by the 2nd anniversary you should have an idea of what this blogging is about, LA!! Hang in there.

I can already see you're picking up the shutterbugging nicely.

Laurie, this thing is very mature for a one year old. I was actually a little surprised it has only been a year - seems like you've been going strong for longer than that!

Keep up the good work.

Happy-happy birthday!

In total agreement that you've grown over the last year---as have the rest of us. It is the first blog I load in the morning and it almost always brings back memories of my childhood.

Keep up the good work and I seriously doubt that you'll have terrible 2's, just glorious expansion!

ok, wv: gotsesse...gotta see see! yup, gotta see Laurie's blog!

Thank you SO MUCH everyone!

Someone asked me about six months ago if I thought I'd be able to keep up with posting a new photo and commentary every single day. (As other daily photobloggers will agree -- it takes a lot of commitment,as well as a bit of obsession!) All I can say is, I'm glad I've managed to do it, and so grateful to all of you for your collaboration. Thanks oodles, people!

Now... do I even have something to post tomorrow? :-) Until then...

Your 2nd anniversary picture looks like a pink cake, complete with icing.....and windows. I look forward to many more incites into the workings of So. Pas. You truly furnish us with a potpourri of the fun, beauty and essence that is beyond glimpses.

Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary! The photos alone are great. Adding the commentary is a powerful one, two punch. I don't know how you do it!

Celebrating this day with you makes me smile. Glad you're up and running with this blog--I know how hard blogging is.

My family, friends and I are always saying what a great town this is with our 'small town' amenities like great local businesses, beautiful historic buildings and homes, great schools, restaurants, concerts in the park, etc. Now we have 'Glimpses of South Pasadena' to add to our wonderful list that we are all proud of. You are an asset to this town, congratulations and thank you!
