Caption this photo... (#13)

Sometimes, I just need my readers' cleverness and keen minds to help me finish a post. (In other words: I think this is odd shot is cool, but have no idea what to say about it...)

Minimalistically done. The lines and zigzags of the shadows are cool. The broken chain has a symbolic almost sociological statement. Chains usually connect things together, yet this one is broken and abandoned, almost resembling a pile of poo. What does this say about us as a people? Are we broken? Disconnected? Cast away like a pile along the path? Wait. I'm getting WWWAAAAAY too into this.

Oh, a caption: Chain Poo Creeps Toward Geometric Shadows

And the Lord smote the snake and turned it into a chain!

When I first looked at this I wasn't wearing my glasses and had the same reaction as Judy - why is Laurie posting a pile of dog poo? Then I focused and saw it was a pile of rusty chain and a musical theme hit me.

Unchain my Heart
Chain of Fools
Unchained Melody

I think I need some coffee.

Somewhere lost in this puddle of a chain is, "The missing link."

In a dry sea bed, all that is left is the chain that once held the mooring line for all the ships that came to that spot so long ago.

These are great, people. But DBdubya, dog poo?!?!?! hahahahahahahah!!!!! Okay, now that's all I see, too.

Hey, I wasn't going to mention until I saw that Judy did - twice! So, that makes two of us that are a little twisted - no, make that three since that's all you now see.

Mister Earl...I love it!

My first thought was:
even plate tectonics can't be held back by a measly chain, despite what the Department of Transportation tries!

Or---the condition of the road totaled the truck that was towing...something and there lays the chain, alone and truckless.

It also occurred to me that if one were to hit the road, knees would end up looking somewhat similar---ground up!

Honestly, I didn't see it before. Now, I can't stop laughing when I see this shot. So what, is this driveway a robot toilet?

California, late AGAIN with the budget has come up with a new product to save the state. Chain. Growing right there out in your yard, popping up everywhere. Go on folks, go farm your chain! It will soon surpass oil as all the rage in California yards.
