Trash ... and Treasure

Though it's almost lost behind the leaf bags, that vintage gold Cadillac looks like it yearns to be taken out for a spin.

(And while we're on the subject of Cadillacs, I suppose this is one way to get one ...)

Nice variations of color and depth. Is that the same Cadillac as the red one with the white roof that appeared here on July 19, 2008 and March 3, 2009?

Oh, an great song link! I'd forgotten about that one!

I've got insomnia. I guess I should stick to my WV: "dicav"

Just two questions. How much would it cost to fill the tank? How far will it go on a tank?

Tank seems to be the operative word here.

Mister E, unless they moved the red Caddy and painted it gold, I don't think it's the same car!

I like the horse shoes on the garage/barn door

You just can't go wrong with that Johnny Cash song.

What a treasure.

Laurie, glad to see you're still wondering
the streets of South Pasadena. You always have
such wonderful shots that tell there own stories.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the kind words. And welcome back, Double D! I must get over to your painting blog and see your latest creations. (Everyone, check out Double D's watercolors... so wonderful and evocative.)

I'm glad you guys liked the Johnny Cash. I was reminded of that song when I saw this car. And we all know, everything reminds me of a poem, a movie, or a song. I'd forgotten how funny the lyrics are.

Ann, have a great time in Memphis!

Pasadenaadjacent, I like that too.

Thanks again for being here, everyone. Until tomorrow...

That's a different Cadillac, Mr. Earl and Laurie. The one previously posted is '54 or older and it's always parked on Fremont. You can tell from the spiderwebs connecting it to the ground that it doesn't get around much. This one is a '55. I recognize the taillights - my Dad had a 55 - white over pale blue.
